illumend (myCOI) Pricing in 2026: What It Costs and What Drives the Quote
illumend, the AI-native COI tracking platform from myCOI, doesn't publish a price list. You get a number after a demo. This page collects what is public: third-party estimates, what the quote depends on, what to ask in the demo, and what transparent-priced alternatives cost for the same vendor count.
Disclosure: SubDoc makes COI tracking software and competes with illumend. We've limited this page to figures that are published by the vendors themselves or cited by named third parties, with dates. Confirm current pricing with each vendor before you buy.
illumend pricing is quote-based and not published. The only public figures are estimates for myCOI, its parent product: about $30–$60 per vendor per year, or roughly $1,500–$3,000 a year for 50 vendors, according to Vertikal RMS (January 2026) and TrackMyVendor (August 2026). Neither source explains how it got the figures. There's no public free plan or self-serve trial. Access starts with a demo.
1. What Is illumend, and How Is It Sold?
illumend is myCOI's AI-native certificate of insurance platform. Its website describes it as "built on 16 years of compliance expertise from myCOI", with an AI engine called Lumie that reviews certificates and endorsements and makes compliance decisions, while people handle edge cases ("Lumie Decides. Humans Handle Edge Cases"). It markets to construction, commercial real estate, retail and franchise, utilities, government, manufacturing and transportation, and names a Procore integration (illumend.ai, retrieved September 2026).
The sales model is demo-first. The site's primary call to action is "Schedule Demo", with no published plans, prices, free tier or self-serve trial. On Capterra the product is still listed as myCOI, with "Contact vendor for pricing", "Free trial not available" and "Free version not included". To be fair to illumend, the same listing shows a 4.7/5 rating from 47 reviews (Capterra, retrieved September 2026).
For a feature-level comparison rather than a price one, see SubDoc vs. illumend.
2. myCOI Pricing: What Third Parties Estimate
Two publicly available sources give numbers. Both are published by competing COI vendors, and neither describes its methodology, so read them as a ballpark:
Vertikal RMS (Jan 24, 2026)
Lists MyCOI at $1,500–$3,000 annually and $30–$60 per vendor in its COI software pricing guide.
Source →TrackMyVendor (updated Aug 2026)
"Based on user-reported data and industry sources", estimates entry-level pricing at $30–$60 per vendor per year, about $1,500–$3,000+ for 50 vendors.
Source →These figures describe myCOI, and illumend is a newer product with its own quotes. Your actual price will depend on the factors in the next section. Use the range to sanity-check a quote, not to budget to the dollar.
3. Estimated Annual Cost by Vendor Count
Here's the $30–$60 estimate applied to common vendor counts, next to three COI tools that publish their prices. Published prices are list prices on monthly billing as of September 2026. Several vendors discount annual billing.
| Vendors tracked | illumend / myCOI (est.) | SubDoc | bcs self-service | TrackMyVendor |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 25 | $750 – $1,500 | $240 (Pro) | $0 (Free, ≤25) | $0 (Free, 1 user) |
| 50 | $1,500 – $3,000 | $240 (Pro) | ~$570 | $468 – $708 |
| 100 | $3,000 – $6,000 | $240 (Pro) | ~$1,140 | $468 – $708 |
| 250 | $7,500 – $15,000 | $660 (Advanced) | ~$2,850 | $468 – $708 |
- • illumend/myCOI: $30–$60 per vendor per year (Vertikal RMS; TrackMyVendor). Estimate only.
- • SubDoc: Free up to 3 vendors; Pro $20/month up to 100 vendors; Advanced $55/month unlimited (subdoc.io/pricing).
- • bcs: free up to 25 vendors; self-service $0.95 per vendor per month, varying by volume; full-service $17.80 per vendor per year with a $10,000 annual minimum (getbcs.com).
- • TrackMyVendor: Free up to 25 subs (1 user); Starter $39/month; Pro $59/month, unlimited subs (trackmyvendor.com).
Price isn't the whole comparison. These tools differ on endorsement review, managed-service options, integrations and how vendors submit documents. Our COI tracking software cost guide covers the full market, including outsourced review.
4. What Drives an illumend Quote
Quote-based COI platforms generally price on the same handful of variables. Expect illumend's quote to move with:
Vendor volume
How many vendors, subcontractors or tenants you track, and whether inactive records count toward the total.
Service level
Software your team runs versus more hands-on help with reviews, exceptions and vendor follow-up.
Integrations
Connecting to systems like Procore can add setup scope, and sometimes cost.
Onboarding & contract terms
Implementation work, requirement setup, contract length and renewal terms all shape the first-year number.
5. Questions to Ask Before You Sign
Get these answers in writing
- Is pricing per vendor, per certificate, or a flat platform fee?
- How is a 'vendor' counted: active only, or every record in the system?
- Is there an implementation or onboarding fee, and what does it include?
- What's the contract length, and does it auto-renew? At what increase?
- Do integrations (e.g. Procore) cost extra?
- What happens to the price if our vendor count grows mid-contract?
- Do our vendors or their brokers ever pay anything to submit documents?
- Can we export all certificates and data if we leave?
6. Is illumend Worth It?
It depends on the size and shape of your program. illumend is a reasonable fit for larger, multi-industry organizations that want an established vendor, AI review with people behind the edge cases, a Procore integration, and a guided onboarding, and that are comfortable with a demo-led, quote-based purchase.
It's a weaker fit if you're a small or mid-size general contractor or property manager who wants to see the price first, start the same day, and pay a flat monthly rate rather than per vendor. That's the gap tools with published pricing fill. See our roundup of illumend and myCOI alternatives, or head-to-heads with TrustLayer and Jones.
SubDoc publishes its prices: free for up to 3 vendors, Pro at $20/month for up to 100 vendors, and Advanced at $55/month for unlimited vendors. AI reads each ACORD 25 and checks limits and endorsements against your requirements, and vendors upload through a passwordless link at no cost. No demo required to start.
Frequently Asked Questions
illumend doesn't publish pricing. Its website's main call to action is 'Schedule Demo', and pricing is quoted per customer. The only public figures are third-party estimates for myCOI, illumend's parent product: Vertikal RMS (January 2026) and TrackMyVendor (August 2026) both put it at roughly $30-$60 per vendor per year, or about $1,500-$3,000 a year for 50 vendors. Neither source explains its methodology, so treat those numbers as a starting point for your own quote, not a price list.
illumend is myCOI's AI-native COI tracking platform. The illumend site describes it as 'from myCOI' and 'built on 16 years of compliance expertise from myCOI'. Its AI engine, Lumie, reviews certificates and endorsements, with people handling edge cases. Review sites such as Capterra still list the product as myCOI with illumend as the vendor name.
Not publicly. As of September 2026, illumend's website shows no free plan or self-serve trial, and Capterra's myCOI listing says 'Free trial not available' and 'Free version not included.' Access starts with a demo.
Ask whether pricing is per vendor or flat, how a 'vendor' is counted (active only, or everyone in the system), whether there are implementation or onboarding fees, the contract length and auto-renewal terms, whether integrations such as Procore cost extra, and what happens to the price if your vendor count grows mid-contract. Get the answers in writing so you can compare quotes side by side.
Several COI tracking tools publish prices. SubDoc is free for up to 3 vendors, then $20/month for up to 100 vendors or $55/month for unlimited vendors. bcs offers a free plan for up to 25 vendors and self-service at $0.95 per vendor per month. TrackMyVendor has a free plan for 25 subcontractors and paid plans from $39/month. Compare features, not just price: endorsement review, vendor upload experience, and integrations differ widely.
